‘Monochrome By Lilith’ is a pseudonym used by the traditional artist, P. Soumya, based in India. The alias acts as a metaphor for the monochrome and thought-provoking artworks of the artist. 

 

P. Soumya was born and brought up in India, which exposed her to different religious beliefs, cultures, and traditions. She takes a keen interest in her surroundings which influences her to pursue the deeper realities of human nature. 

 

Soumya has been interested in art since she was a child and completed a 7-year course in Fine Arts at the age of 16, along with her schooling. She continued pursuing her passion for art during her Bachelor’s in Mathematics & Computing and Master’s in Business Administration. Her evenings are usually spent working on her artworks while humming her favourite songs. 

 

Soumya’s work follows the style of expressionism and surrealism. She influences the viewers to question life through her works, driven by philosophy and human suffering. She often indulges in conversations with the viewers to understand their perspective of her work.

She aims to influence more people through her pursuit of artistic awakening.
